von H. G. Wells (Autor)
The modern Utopia of Wells is a story set on a planet very similar to the earth. The utopian planet differs from the earth because the inhabitants have created a perfect society. Two men, the narrator and his colleague (a botanist), visit this parallel planet and discuss its strengths and weaknesses. Utopia is a world in which the problems of humanity have been solved. People live a healthy and happy life in cities where all human needs are met. Science and technology free people from fatigue and allow them to enjoy security and innovation. The state is governed by the Samurai, which are a moral and spiritual ruling class. They lead an ascetic life (disciplined and morally severe), governed by the Rule.
