von Rudyard Kipling (Autor)
This edition is accompanied by 40 unpublished illustrations.
The Jungle Book is a collection of stories written with the aid of Rudyard Kipling. The stories inside the e-book (and additionally the ones in The Second Jungle Book which followed in 1895, and which includes five further testimonies about Mowgli) are fables, using animals in an anthropomorphic manner to give moral training. The verses of The Law of the Jungle, as an example, lay down policies for the protection of people, families and communities. Kipling installed them nearly everything he knew or "heard or dreamed approximately the Indian jungle."
