"There is a style of Kung fu that has had a remarkable diffusion in Italy and in the world: the MEIHUAQUAN (School of Martial Arts of the Flower of Prunus mume). This work describes the cultural, linguistic, social, religious and technical context of this style. It sums up in itself the research carried out over the years by the authors in the Chinese campaigns. There is also a study on the figure of CHANG DSU YAO who first spread the style in Italy (even without the awareness of his own followers) and a partial translation of a genealogical register of the school of Liu Baojun. It contains numerous unpublished images referring to both religious and martial aspects and proposes a close comparison between the theories of style and the concepts of modern motor science. The subtitle proposes a Chinese concept “Tian ren heyi” that represents the reciprocal interaction and harmony between the macrocosm (Heaven) and the microcosm (man). The Meihuaquan is intended as the tool to reach that condition."
